This is the first time I have participated in a blog event for this little book review blog of mine, but I thought, hey, why not?
I am giving away two prizes, yes TWO, for the event on Friday and Saturday!
One prize is a set of two light and frothy girly books:
and the other prize is a set of two books that cross over to the dark side:
The Light Set
Shopaholic and Baby is one of the funny follow-ups to the Confessions of a Shopaholic book featuring Becky Bloomwood. Becky's crazy persona will either drive you nuts or have you laughing out loud!
Don't take it too seriously and it will be like watching an episode of Friends without the canned laughter.
Life Swap is a quick and easy read by Jane Green, and asks the question, which is better, marriage, a country home and kids, or the single, successful life? If you get a kick out of watching WifeSwap, or wonder if the grass might be greener on the other side, you will enjoy finding out what happens to Amber and Vicky when they swap lives.
The Dark Set
Cruel and Unusual is a forensic thriller by the popular crime-writer Patricia Cornwell. With all the usual gruesomeness of murders, crime scenes and post-mortems, you may just get hooked into the clever puzzle-solving of Dr Kay Scarpetta, until you have devoured every one of Cornwell's thrillers!
Spencerville is the story of Keith Landry who returns to his hometown after being away for twenty-five years. His former lover's husband, Cliff Baxter, is not happy about it, and he's one mean man. This is a suspenseful ride as you turn the pages to find out if the town of Spencerville is big enough for the both of them.

What a great idea, Wendy!! All four books look like great reads, and I love reading the light holiday variety as well as the darker thrillers... so it is difficult to choose!! Light or dark?? Light or dark?? Hmmmm... I think I will go with Dark, as I haven't read one of Patricia Cornwall's books for AGES and I always enjoy them (haven't read Cruel and Unusual yet).
