Phil Beadle: Could Do Better
Here is a book from the man who taught The Unteachables on the tele. He is a funny, funny man who is passionate about helping children to excel at school. This book teaches a whole lot of techniques for remembering the technical stuff when learning, particularly with grammar, as Beadle is an English teacher. Some of his ideas are spot on and completely inspiring, others are just fascinating, like, would you really do karate to remember grammar terms? Actually, that could work! Beadle's ideas have spark and his insights are refreshing. Games to play, to learn grammar? It's got to be better than textbook stuff! I borrowed this book from a friend, but I will definitely have to buy my own. Brilliant!
